O’Brien & Associates (RJO) commits from the first handshake - whether in our headquarter city of Chicago, Illinois, where we co-founded the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in 1914 - or now, in Canada, the United Kingdom, China and Singapore. As 11th of the top 20 futures commission merchants in the world, RJO has a diverse and growing customer base that relies on our UK team to introduce and support its products and services throughout Europe and the Middle East.

It’s no accident that RJO is still around nearly 100 years after it was conceived. Robert J. O’Brien Sr. is a man known for industry firsts: he took delivery of the first live cattle contract traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), broadcast the first live commodity report from the trading floor and sponsored the first woman to work on the trading floor.

Current Opportunities

    R.J. O'Brien Limited has rapidly expanded over the past 18 months and are interested in speaking to both individual and teams of institutional brokers across a wide range of futures and options asset classes.

    The ideal candidate(s) will have the following skills and experience:

    • 5-10 years experience in commodity, equity or fixed income brokerage
    • Strong and well established client base
    • Qualified as, and currently or recently registered with the FCA as CF30
